Terms & ConditionsPlease take the time to read Robins Driving School terms & conditions .By booking a lesson you are agreeing to be bound by these terms & conditions,a copy of the T&Cs are available from your instructor.
All students must be in possession of a signed Provisional Driving Licence for Group B Cars and meet the minimum eyesight requirments before commencement of there training.
• INSURANCE: All fees include student cover whilst driving the School vehicle, (provided the student is licensed to drive) and is accompanied by an instructor or on a Driving Test with an approved Examiner(s).
• CANCELLATIONS: The School requires a minimum of 24 hours notice if students wish to cancel a scheduled hourly lesson, Robins Driving School reserves the right to charge the full lesson price if the notice period is not given. A minimum of 14 days notice is required if students wish to cancel 4 or more hours in any one day or an intensive or semi-intensive driving course. Robins Driving School reserve the right to charge the full lessons/course fee for the hours booked on each of the days cancelled.if the above periods of notice are not given and if the cancellation will result in loss of earnings.(Excluding illness and/or other mitigating circumstances). If Robins Driving School cancels your lesson without giving 24 hours notice you will be given one 1hour driving lesson free. (Excluding illness and/or other mitigating circumstances).
• PAYMENTS: We accept payment by Cash, Credit Card (via PayPal) or Cheque (if supported by a cheque guarantee card). Payment for lessons should be paid before the lesson commences .Advance payment lessons and Intesive driving course`s are accepted on the understanding that no refunds will be given. Intensive driving courses are subject to a minimum non refundable booking deposit, which would be £100.00 of the course fee and the balance payed to the instructor on the first lesson.
• APPOINTMENTS: A driving lesson will be 1 hour ,if your instructor is late then the time lost will be added when your instructor arrives .Driving courses if more than 2 hours is booked will include a break this will be during the course time as part of the course. While every care will be taken to ensure Students receive training at the requested time, all bookings are made on the understanding that the Robins Driving School is not responsible for the postponement of training due to exceptional traffic conditions, adverse weather, mechanical breakdown of equipment or any other cause outside of our control. If, in the view of the Instructor, the student is unfit to carry out the lesson safely; due to self-induced circumstances (e.g. Alcohol, Drugs or lack of sleep) a cancellation charge will apply and you will not be allowed to drive the training car. The pupil must bring there appointment/progress record with them every lesson to allow the instructor to mark in the next appointment.Your instructor will also keep a detailed record of your progress throughout your training .
•DVD`S AND TRAINING MATERIALS: All question papers, handouts, books, DVD`S and relevant materials remain the property of the School.(If not returned on request a fee will be charged).
• THE DRIVING TEST: The customer must pass at least one Mock driving test before applying for the Dsa Driving Test.The school reserves the right to withhold the training vehicle if, in the Instructors opinion; the student has not reached the required standard. The student will be expected to pass at least one mock test before being allowed to use the school car for their practical test . The school cannot be held responsible for test appointments being postponed or cancelled by the DSA and the 2 hours for the hire of the car must still be payed.The pupil must check with the Test centre on the day of the test to make sure the test has not been cancelled due to weather. Furthermore, Robins Driving School is not responsible for any failure of light bulbs, etc. before or during the DSA test. All bulbs/lights, etc. will be checked with the candidate at the test centre prior to the DSA test.
• PERSONAL PROPERTY: The School accepts no liability for personal property that is left in any training vehicle.
• MOBILE PHONES: All students should ensure that mobile phones are switched off, prior to entering the tuition vehicle, for safety reasons. Due to recent changes in the law, Your Instructor will not use a mobile phone or recieve calls via bluetooth device while giving tuition.
•ONLINE THEORY TRAINING: The online theory training is available to Robins Driving School pupils only.You will have full free access to this program until such a time you have passed your theory test.
•COMPLAINTS: These should first be put in writing to your instructor no more than 7 days from the date of the complaint.If then you are not satisfied with the outcome you can the contact the Driving Standards Agency.
•BLOCK BOOKING & INTENSIVE COURSES:Payment is due on the first lesson and is non refundable, the free lesson with a block of 10 would be th 11th lesson.
You may only use a block booking of lessons Mon/Fri only and the same apply`s to Intensive driving courses.
•SPECIAL OFFERS:Tell a freind.To recieve this offer your friend must have paid for and taken 5 lessons in the tuition car.You will then be entitled to one free driving lesson Mon/Fri only,this offer may be used more than once.
•3 LESSONS FOR £50.00: Introductory offer,only availalable to beginers First lesson will be the Controls lesson,new pupils only ,cannot be used for partly trained or pupils at or near test standard
•STUDENT DISCOUNT:Students may only use the student discount offer Mon/Fri and must be able to produce a valid student card.
•ROBIN YOUR INSTRUCTOR:is a member of the Driving Instructors Association and the Motor Schools Association and has agreed to adhere to there code of conduct. I have also signed up to Continual proffessional development which allows me to keep upto date with new training methods and therfore giving the pupil quality driving tuition.
